*Birth Pangs For A New Nigeria* (III)

_Key Bible Text:_
*Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.* (Genesis 11:7-8 (KJV) )

_Bible Insight:_
Project babel was disrupted. The disruption was divine. The disruption happened because project babel was actually in opposition to God's idea and will: Genesis 1:28 (KJV) *And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth*

When you place project babel side by side with the ongoing movement in Nigeria, you will see some striking similarities as well as a major difference. The similarities are along the lines of Unity and a common good for all Nigerians. Never has there been this team spirit for a national project spearheaded by the Nigerian youths. The major difference on the other hand, is the fact that unlike project babel, God is on the side of Nigeria and indeed on the side of the ongoing movement! 

How do I know? God is for progress, reformation, prosperity and freedom from corruption and societal ills. Look up the Demands of the ongoing movement and if you can't see God behind it, not withstanding the few shortfalls as a result of human flaws, you don't know when God is moving and working. Thus, the only persons against this movement, are those who are not sincerely looking for the interest and good of this nation. That's okay though. Whenever God is moving, there has to be an opposition of some sorts because God is not a democrat!

*What we need more than ever before is to ignore the distractions, and focus on the mission before us.*

*DAILY DEW 2ND/DECEMBER/2021* *As Jesus or As yourself?* _Key Bible Text:_ * A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.* (John 13:34 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ One of the most outstanding things about the Christmas season is the birth of Christ. While we must remember or even celebrate this blessed season, we must never forget the spirit behind God's move and decision in sending His son Jesus. The answer to the why of Jesus' coming to earth is simply, LOVE. John 3:16 may have been abused but it cannot be overused or overemphasized. Jesus is God's decision born out of love.
