Build To Last

*Build To Last*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"There is going to come a time of testing at Christ's Judgement Day to see what kind of material each builder has used”* (1Corinthians 3:13)
_Bible Insight:_
The little experience we have had with Lagos rain are especially the kind that comes with serious winds or the ones that pours continuously non-stop. And this unpalatable experiences, of which we are not proud of has forced my husband to submit a proposal to one of the P.A.s of our seating Governor. Some of the main suggestions bothers around structural planning and drainage maintenance. While these may serve as a damage control, the most appropriate approach would be to focus on the quality of the materials used for building from start-to-finish. Especially the foundation.
Foundation is an integral part of a building. The strength of any building is determined by it's foundation. For us as believers, Jesus Christ is our foundation. We build our lives on Him and around Him. He's our pillar, our support, our back-bone. As skillful builders that we are, we do not build our lives with materials that fire can burn because that will only amount to a great waste (1Corinthians 3:15). _We build to last._ This is done *by listening to our LORD daily and obeying Him quickly (Luke 6:46-48).*
God has been communicating some things to His Church through the recent happenings, how it will be on the last day. How could peaceful protest turn into a mournful event! Beautiful building turned into ashes dump, just like that!? "All of a sudden"! That's how the scripture says it will happen. His coming will come _like a thief in the night._
MEDITATION:
*God is free to come into His house whenever He wants because we are His temple, His building, His property. We belong to Him.*
