UNDERSTANDING THE HEART (III)

*DAILY DEW 14TH/ OCTOBER/2020*

*UNDERSTANDING THE HEART* (III)

_Key Bible Text:_
*Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!* (Genesis 17:17-18 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_
The conversations of the heart gives birth to the actions of the body. The thoughts of a man inform the state of his heart. The product is seen in how he speaks and acts. Abraham could have said something else other than *"Oh that Ishmael might live before thee"*, if only the thoughts of his heart were not so full of amazement at the possibility of his fertility.

When we speak or act, we need to understand that our heart and the conversations therein are at work. We need to realize that whatever succeeds in our heart, will prevail in our lives. Whatever we defeat in our hearts, will be defeated in our lives. What you allow, you will experience in due course. What you disallow in your heart, you will also escape in reality.

Caution your heart. Silence the voice of doubt in your heart. Silence the voice of fear. Silence the voice of intimidation. Silence the voice of unhealthy criticism. Silence the voice of hate and spite. Silence the voice of jealousy and envy. Silence the voice of cowardice and self-doubt. Drive the conversations in your heart towards faith, victory, love, joy, and all things positive and pure.

MEDITATION:
*Let the Word of God daily drive the conversations of your heart. Consciously practice this.*
