*UNDERSTANDING THE HEART* (IV)

_Key Bible Text:_
 *Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.* (Deuteronomy 10:16 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_
To have an understanding heart is to have an obedient heart. To have a heart that is circumcised is to be obedient. Good news bible renders it this way, *So then, from now on be obedient to the LORD and stop being stubborn* 

Obedience unto the Lord is the secret to an understanding heart. When you learn to obey God, you will increase in your ability to understand & live the life that God has called us to live. 

The most important sign that a believer is truly born again is whether or not he has an obedient heart. The work of the Holy Spirit is to produce a heart that is pure and obedient. Without this, our hearts cannot be said to be understanding. Understanding is beyond dealing with the affairs of this life. It is also living this life in a manner that makes for life with God hereafter. Only obedience unto the Lord guarantees that. 

MEDITATION:
*Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.* (Deuteronomy 11:16, 18 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 16TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *THE WAY OF THE CROSS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.* (1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *Through Christ’s death on the cross, those who turn to Him are delivered from both the penalty and the power of sin.* (1 Peter 2:24 New American Standard Bible) What are the benefits that accrue to us from following the cross, or carrying the cross to follow Jesus? In answering this, we need to understand that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross that gives the cross its power.  "1. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
