An Example to Follow

*An Example to Follow*

_Key Bible Text:_
*"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.)"* (1 Timothy 4:12-13 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_
To become an example, we need to follow an example. To become a good example, you need to follow a good example. To become a great example, you need to follow a great example. Jesus is the greatest example any man can dare to follow. He is perfect and fit for every situation. 

When our key text says: *be an example of believers* it means you need to be a worthy example that other believers can emulate. This can never happen unless you first follow the example of Christ. "What would Jesus do" must become more to you than just a question: it must become the way you pursue all that you do.

The more of Christ's example you follow, the more of a worthy example you become: in word -- how you speak; in conversation -- how you conduct yourself, your character; in charity -- how you walk in love and forgiveness; in spirit-- how you fellowship with God; in faith -- how you believe God; and in purity -- how you walk in cleanliness and holiness sexually and otherwise.

*Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.* (1 Timothy 4:15 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
