GO INTO THE NEXT TOWNS

*DAILY DEW 22ND/NOVEMBER/2020*

*GO INTO THE NEXT TOWNS*

_Key Bible Text:_
*And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. And he said unto them, Let us GO INTO THE NEXT TOWNS, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.* (Mark 1:37-38 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_
The need to reach the unreached cannot be overemphasized. Jesus consistently exemplified this. In today's text, you will observe that while those who sought after him, were calling for him, he was busy directing his disciples to prepare to move to the next towns. Why is this? He was pressed to reach those to whom he had not preached to before.

P.F. Bresee, founder of the Church of the Nazarene, said and I quote:
_"We are debtors to every man to give him the gospel in the same measure in which we have received it"_ The moment we understand this, we would realize that each point in time, you owe it to God and to men to reach people whom you have not reached before.

Everyday, God provides an opportunity for you to go to the "next town" to preach. Sometimes, the "next town", is your neighbour, a colleague at work, or a stranger in the bus. Sometimes the "next town" is an church evangelism outreach, a crusade, or a short term missions outreach. No matter what you do, follow the example of Christ, and seek to engage that "next town." Don't allow the familiar busy schedules or persons who have always had your attention, make you miss the unique opportunity to go to the "next town"! There is a "next town" calling your attention! Don't miss that call!

MEDITATION:
*"have but one candle of life to burn, and I would rather burn it out in a land filled with darkness than in a land flooded with light"* — John Keith Falconer.
