LOVE

*LOVE*

_Key Bible Text:_
*"Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail."* (1 Cor. 13:4-7

_Bible Insight:_
_Love_ is one word we can never exhaust both in application and in exhortation. The depth of it is bottomless. The height of it is endless. There is no situation that it can be useless and there is no time its importance can be overemphasized. 

The cure to this world's malady is love. The root of this world's madness is lack of love. The way forward is love. The place to start is love. The place to stop is love. Love. Love. Love. We can further explain _l.o.v.e._ with the aid of the following four words: Longsuffering: Love is sweet because it knows what bitterness is but chooses to refrain from it. _Long suffering_ is that special ability of love to choose to remain sweet in spite of the bitterness around. 

Love is *optimistic.* It never gives up. Love believes, hopes and expects the best. Love is not afraid that things we go sour because it tenaciously expects things to work out. Love is *virtuous* It pursues excellence of character and moral. Love is beautiful in conduct and attitude. Love hates the evil and praises the good. 

Love is edifying. Love is expressive in its edification. Love is not weary in well doing. Love seizes every opportunity to pass a good message, both in words and in conduct. Love is beautiful in its character and is admirable in teaching values. 

MEDITATION:
*I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell.* (1 Cor. 13:1)

*DAILY DEW 16TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *THE WAY OF THE CROSS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.* (1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *Through Christ’s death on the cross, those who turn to Him are delivered from both the penalty and the power of sin.* (1 Peter 2:24 New American Standard Bible) What are the benefits that accrue to us from following the cross, or carrying the cross to follow Jesus? In answering this, we need to understand that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross that gives the cross its power.  "1. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
