POSITIVE ANGER
*DAILY DEW 20TH/NOVEMBER/2020*
*POSITIVE ANGER*
_Key Bible Text:_
*That whoever is angry with his brother without a cause is in the danger of hell*
(Mathew 5:22)
_Bible Insight:_
Look at the text again and consider the phrase *"without a cause"*. This means that there are reasons we can be angry and it will not be a sin.Even Paul recognized this. In Eph 4:26 it states: *Be angry and not sin, and do not let the sun go down upon your wrath.*
Let me summarize the words of Christ and of Paul about anger in this knowledge: Jesus said, you can be angry but it must be for a just cause. Paul said, you can be angry but you must not sin.*The only way to allow sin is when the anger in your heart lingers for long.* This is because if it stays long in your heart, Satan could take advantage of it.
In one word, it's absolutely okay to be angry. Let us look into some reasons we can be angry as Christians. The Bible says in Hebrews 1:9, Jesus loved righteousness and hated iniquity. There is a tendency for a person to can be angry with whatever he or she detest. We have seen many places where the wrath of God was revealed upon lawlessness.
I call you blessed.
MEDITATION:
*Lawlessness, unrighteousness and all forms of wickedness should make a believer angry.*
