POSITIVE FEAR

*POSITIVE FEAR*

_Key Bible Text:_
*Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded!* (Proverbs 13:13 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_
There is a kind of fear that is highly needed. As a matter of fact, whenever we get to a point where we stop having this particular fear, it is actually a negative sign. It is a positive fear that we should not only have but constantly desire. It is the fear of the word of God.

The fear of the word of God is what makes you honour and keep it. There is a relationship between the fear of the word of God and how you relate with God. When you fear the word God it makes you take God seriously. This is a reverential fear that instills obedience.

Never be afraid to have a positive fear of the word of God. The fear of the word God is positive, when it makes you want to know the word and keep it. But when you know the word and constantly fail to keep it, it is a sign that you have started being too familiar with and unafraid of the word God. This is not a place to be. 

MEDITATION:
*Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.* (Proverbs 23:17 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
