*The Storm Ain't Going to Stop You*

_Key Bible Text:_
*"Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”* (Mark 4 verse 38 NLT)

_Bible Insight:_
As believers of Jesus our first call of assignment is that we be with Him, to learn from Him (Mark 3:14). Spending time with Jesus as our teacher provides us an opportunity to learn a lot from His life. We intimate ourselves with His ways not just His acts. There is a lot of unlearning that needs to be done; how to speak in faith, how to react to unfavourable things, how to pray, forgive, give, share, servant-leadership, and many other things. He calls us first to stay with Him. That's what lovers do, They stay with each other. So that His life and character may be formed in us so that His truths may be expressed through us eventually.

Ever asked yourself: "What would Jesus do if He was the one present here and now in the face of this storm?" Why was Jesus the only person asleep amidst the angry winds and waves? Why would Jesus query His disciples for being frightened by a terrible storm? Why wasn't He _even_ scared of drowning? How could He possibly be enjoying His sleep with all the noise that was happening in the boat?

Jesus had a lot of intimate moments with followers (Mark 4:34). He deliberately made efforts to prepare them for life after His departure. That's how we must make out time to be with our LORD, so that He can prepare us for life in general. All the disciples knew about Jesus prior to that time was the healings, bread multiplication, and the deliverances but they did not know that the winds and seas were also under His authority. That's how we will know more and more about our Master as we stay with Him, our faith will be built as we commune with the Word. We will understand to exercise our authority in Christ Jesus in the face of what ever storm that we may meet in our journey through life. 

MEDITATION:
*With all you know about Jesus, do you think that that storm is enough to stop you from getting to your destination when Jesus is the One leading you?*

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
