*ENDING THE YEAR WELL*

_Key Bible Text:_
*You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance”.* (Psalm 65:11 NLT)

_Bible Insight:_
What a powerful verse!

The ERV translation says, “You start the new year with a good harvest. You end the year with many crops.”

Psalm 65 is considered a National Psalm of praise and thanks to God for His goodness. It was apparently sung after the spring rains came in to water and refresh the earth. This song was even more meaningful if the Nation had been through a particularly bad dry season.

As 2020 ends, you may be reflecting about what happened in the past 12 months. Some will have testimonies, others will remember challenges, while some others may think of the health issues they had to face. Some would say, ‘It was my best year’, while others may say, ‘it could have been better’. The list can go on! 

The Bible identifies God’s people as a Royal Priesthood, crowned by God Himself! Psalm 65: 11 says that ‘God crowns the year’. Yes, His grace will crown every day we face in 2021. Let’s never forget that we are royalty crowned by the Lord Himself!!

May you receive ‘God’s crown of goodness and a bountiful harvest in the new year’, and may you see ‘His abundance overflowing even in the hard pathways’. Have a blessed and Christ-filled 2021!! 

MEDITATION:
*Lord, help me to trust you for favour over every area of my life and my family in 2021. Show me clear signs of your favour. Amen.*

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
