*MERCY PREVAILS OVER JUDGMENT*

*“For Judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”‭‭* (‭‭James‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭(NKJV‬‬))
_Bible Insight:_
A woman was once corrected by her daughter, a correction that seemed foolish but flowed from the wisdom of God. The woman had been cursing all her debtors in the name of the Lord, praying that they don’t experience peace until they pay. The little daughter said to her
“Mummy, it’s not the lack of peace that gives money to pay debt, it’s the provision of money. Why not pray that the Lord provides for them and shows you mercy so that they pay”.

As soon as her mum gives in to this prayer, she receives a pay check from one of her huge debtors.
We have developed a habit of calling down the wrath of God on other while we pray down the mercy of God on ourselves. Three major persons were agents of mercy when the world shut its door against them. Because of them, people were saved and they were also exalted by God. They are Moses, Jesus and Stephen. Extraordinary persons. 

We underestimate the power of praying mercy for our enemies, that prayer is what got Saul (now Paul) to preach the gospel and be persecuted like he persecuted others. That prayer of Jesus on the cross got all of us saved and caused the victory we enjoy today.

MEDITATION
*Dear Christian, you will always be fine because your Lord sits on the throne, always resist the urge to curse people with the Judgement of God and call down mercy which is heavier than judgement.*

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
