How Do I Walk In The Spirit? (IV)
*DAILY DEW 24TH/JANUARY/2021*
*How Do I Walk In The Spirit?* (IV)
_Key Bible Text:_
*And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.* (Ephesians 4:30 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
A final step to consider as we discuss how to walk in the Spirit, is to *avoid quenching or grieving the Spirit.* This is an offshoot of the last step. Certain sins grieve the Holy Spirit or stifle His filling of our lives.
Example of common emotional display that can inhibit our flow in the control of the Spirit includes anger and fear in their many forms. A Spirit-controlled Christian will learn to so value the love, joy, and peace which the Holy Spirit brings into his life that he will be watchful lest he grieve Him by common emotion of anger or quench Him by the equally prevalent emotion of fear.
MEDITATION:
*Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.* (Ephesians 4:31-32 (KJV))
