SACRIFICE

*SACRIFICE*

_Bible Text:_
*Trust God with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.* (Proverbs 3:5 (ESV))

_Bible Insight:_
It takes great sacrifice to truly rely on God and only God. I have always said that there is nothing God would ask of me that I wouldn’t be able to give or to do; but not long ago I was asked to give up something that I found very difficult to give up(even though it was for a short period of time). This decision would give me more time with God but it would also mean that I would solely rely on God and I just couldn’t. I then realize that though we say we rely and trust God, sometimes we make a plan B just in case. 

Relying on God simply means letting God take care of you without doubt and without complains (Matthew 11:28-30). Now that’s what I call sacrifice. 

Have you ever wondered why of all things to sacrifice we were asked to present ourselves? (Romans 12). So, you take your identity that you have built for yourself or are trying to build and subject it to being conformed to the will of God. Can you imagine how hard that is? Again, that is the greatest sacrifice we can ever make as believers and according to the scripture that is the true acceptable sacrifice in the sight of God.

*If you think that God is a control freak by asking you to rely on Him; the irony here is that you get to control the territory (his purpose for you), he has put you in charge of.*

*DAILY DEW 16TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *THE WAY OF THE CROSS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.* (1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *Through Christ’s death on the cross, those who turn to Him are delivered from both the penalty and the power of sin.* (1 Peter 2:24 New American Standard Bible) What are the benefits that accrue to us from following the cross, or carrying the cross to follow Jesus? In answering this, we need to understand that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross that gives the cross its power.  "1. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
