*STARTING THE YEAR WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT*

*For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.* (Romans 8:14 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_
Years ago Frank Sinatra popularized the song "My way", but that is not the way of happiness for the Christian, which only comes in living life God's way. Many Christians think of the filling of the Spirit as automatic and that all Christians are Spirit-filled. Others think it is optional, and that they can seek the filling of the Spirit if all else fails. Nothing could be further from the truth! 

The Holy Spirit is more than willing to empower and beautify your life if, by faith, you are willing to do His will. It is an unfortunate fact that most Christians are confused about the ministry of the Holy Spirit once He comes to live in their lives. Instead of looking into the Word of God to see what He really does in believers, they often look at other people and experiences, which historically have led to confusion. 

Many Christians know almost nothing about the Spirit-filled life and the immeasurable blessings it can provide for them, their family and their interpersonal relationships. We would be dwelling on this subject in the days ahead by acquainting you with biblical instruction that transforms lives and marriages of those who yielded to the control of the Spirit. 

MEDITATION:
*And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;* (Ephesians 5:18 (KJV))

In answering this, we need to understand that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross that gives the cross its power.  "1. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
