*The Spirit of Faith Fortifies* (II)

_Key Bible Text:_
*For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever.* (2 Cor. 4:18 (GNB))

_Bible Insight:_
The reason we are not discouraged by our temporal sufferings is because we are not expected to focus or dwell on the challenges of this present life. We are empowered by the Spirit of Faith to look ahead and away from the temporal to the permanent and from the visible to the invisible. 

We fix our attention on things that can only be seen by the eyes of faith. We are not led by our physical, sensual senses. We are not focused on what can be seen by the ordinary eyes rather the Spirit of Faith raises our vision from the surface or shallow to the submerged or deeper view of things. The Spirit of Faith fortifies us by enabling us to see the future merit and advantages waiting for us ahead. We see beyond the transient to the eternal, and by this we judge whatever we do in this temporary phase of life. 

We are to be exercised in the habit of seeing the things that be not as though they exist. By the Spirit of Faith God calls the things that be not as though they exists. Faith is the substance of what we are yet to find and the evidence of what we are yet to visibly relate with. So by walking by the Spirit of Faith we focus on Jesus who also focused on the joy that was set before him, rather than the temporary sufferings that confronted him. This work of the Spirit of Faith is truly fortifying.

*The Spirit of Faith enables us to face challenges by helping us to focus on the aftermath of the challenge rather than the difficulty of the situation*

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
