SACRIFICE (II)

*DAILY DEW 6TH/FEBRUARY/2021*

*SACRIFICE* (II)

_Key Bible Text:_
*I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.* (Galatians 2:20 (AMP))

_Bible Insight:_
Do you know that the hardest thing for humans to do is to do nothing? Imagine when the children of Israel were asked to stand firm: don’t flee or fight (Ex 14:14) and the soldiers were running towards them armed with all kinds of weapon and God is saying don’t even move a muscle? Faith and relying on God is not as easy as we sometime make it sound.

Try this: sit at home for a whole day and do nothing: don’t worry, don’t make plans, don’t try to figure a way out. Just sit. That my dear friends would almost feel like death to you. Somehow, we feel even if we do not do something about it at least we should worry or think of a way out. So, we find comfort in our worries because we feel by worrying, we actually care and willing to do something.

Our reliance on God is key to service and our walk with Him. Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Mathew 6:36) is same as presenting yourself as a living sacrifice (Roman 12:1). In other words, I no longer exist (for I have given up my identity and have been transformed by the word) but Christ exists instead of me (because I have given up my authority of making my own decision); Galatians 2:20

MEDITATION
*I know we might kick against this and say we also have our lives outside of Christ; do we?*
