*SPIRIT OF TRUTH* (II)

_Bible Text:_
*Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.* (John 16:13 (KJV)). 

_Bible Insight:_
One of the chief goals of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth is to exalt the person of Jesus-the Christ. From Genesis to Revelation, the Holy Spirit helps us to see that all the word of God is all about the son of God-- Jesus, the Christ. There is no greater character than Christ. No greater example than the example of Christ. 

The greatest revelation in the Word is Christ. The greatest mystery is the one that reveals who we are in Christ. The greatest works are the ones that reveals the saving grace of Christ in our lives. Everything the word reveals exists to glorify Christ. The Spirit of Truth has the special role of guiding us into all the truth about the person of Christ and away from every deception or confusion. 

Even Jesus taught about himself when he appeared to the disciples after he rose from the grave. _And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself._ (Luke 24:27 (KJV)) Again in John 5:39 (KJV), it says "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." The Spirit of Truth helps us keep Jesus at the center stage. No other message and no other truth can do.

*We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.* (1 John 4:6 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 16TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *THE WAY OF THE CROSS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.* (1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *Through Christ’s death on the cross, those who turn to Him are delivered from both the penalty and the power of sin.* (1 Peter 2:24 New American Standard Bible) What are the benefits that accrue to us from following the cross, or carrying the cross to follow Jesus? In answering this, we need to understand that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross that gives the cross its power.  "1. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
