The Spirit of Counsel and Might

*THE SPIRIT OF COUNSEL AND MIGHT*

_Key Bible Text:_
*And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, THE SPIRIT OF COUNSEL AND MIGHT, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD* (1 Isaiah 11:2 (KJV)) 
_Bible Insight:_
This is another very interesting and highly important dimension of the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Counsel and Might. There are many things a believer can pull through in life only by the revelation and application of the Spirit of counsel and might. It is that extra force of conviction and direction (counsel) that comes with strength and power (might) to carry out a task. 

We shall find this where Paul prayed thus in Ephesians 3:16 (KJV) *_That he (GOD) would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to BE STRENGTHENED WITH MIGHT BY HIS SPIRIT IN THE INNER MAN;_* This strength, comes with might and it is needed when we find ourselves at our human limits. It is the same reason Paul said in Philippians 4:13 (KJV) *I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.* 

We see another example of the operation of the Spirit of Counsel and Might when Jesus was prayed at the garden of Gethsemane: Luke 22:42-43 (KJV) *Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.*

The Spirit of Counsel and Might steadies us through difficult challenges, temptations and tribulations. We are filled with hope and counsel (direction and determination), as well as strength in our inner minds (supernatural might). May we press into this ministry of the Holy Spirit through every tough issues of our lives in Jesus name. Amen.

*That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;* (Colossians 1:10-11 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
