THE SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE AND OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD

*THE SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE AND OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD*

_Key Bible Text:_
*And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, THE SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE AND OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD* (1 Isaiah 11:2 (KJV)) 
_Bible Insight:_
The Holy Spirit proudly identifies Himself as the Spirit of Knowledge. True Knowledge is the identity and characteristics of God's Spirit. Any knowledge that does not emanate from the Holy Spirit is not to be trusted. The knowledge of this world is like physical exercise that profits little whereas godliness is profitable for all things, herein and hereafter. (1Tim 4:8) Also the advice of scripture applies that we should use the world but not abuse it. This, worldly knowledge maybe useful but we must not be seduced by it. (1 Cor. 7:31)

The Spirit of Knowledge is God's provision to keep us from error and to avail us all that's important for life and godliness. We must resort to the Spirit of Knowledge in a world where there are all kinds of knowledge and in an age where there is rapid increase and access to knowledge. Our safety lies greatly in how much help we seek from the Spirit of Knowledge bearing the foregoing scripture in mind:- 

_But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. *For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.*_ (1 Corinthians 2:7-11 (KJV)) 

God's Holy Spirit knows the things of God and only through him can we KNOW the things of God. At all given times, the knowledge of the things of God will always supersede and outlast the knowledge of the things of men. Do you desire to be a man of high knowledge? If that knowledge is not to be sought and maintained by the Spirit of Knowledge, perish that idea.

*Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.* (1 Corinthians 2:12-13 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
