*THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD*

_Key Bible Text:_
*But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:* (Acts 2:16-17 (KJV)) 
_Bible Insight:_
Isaiah 11:2 (KJV) mentions 7 representations or manifestations of the Holy Spirit. It reads: *"And THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;"* The Spirit of the Lord, The Spirit of Wisdom, The Spirit of Understanding, The Spirit of Counsel, The Spirit of Might, The Spirit of Knowledge and the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. 

We shall take a little closer look at the Spirit of the Lord today. I have come to realize that even before the day of the Pentecost, the Spirit of the Lord has been present upon the earth. Several times we saw him manifest in the lives of men, giving wisdom to Solomon, physical might to Samson, Counsel to King David, Prophecies, healings etc. 

The Spirit of the Lord however, was poured out in an unusual and unprecedented dimension on the day of Pentecost. Believers are as of right, expected to have an experience of the outpouring of the Holy Ghost with all its attendant benefits. The Spirit of the Lord is the evidence that we belong to the Lord. Walking in the Holy Spirit is how we live as true disciples of Jesus. The Spirit of the Lord before the Pentecost used to be by God's selective appointment but after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit is now a necessity for everyone who truly belongs to God.  

MEDITATION
*But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.* (Romans 8:9 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
