*I AM RIGHT NO MATTER WHAT😌?*
*Key Bible Text:_*
*But on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. _So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast._* (Genesis 4:5 NIV)
*_Bible Insight:_*
We all know the story of Cain and Abel and how God rejected Cain and his offering and accepted Abel and his offering. Was it because God liked meat more than vegetables? Read this again.... *God rejected Cain first before his offering*
1John 3:12 explains why Cain killed his brother and why God rejected him and his offering. God is not psyched by our offerings but rather he is interested in our actions; our being. It wasn't because of the offering he gave that God rejected him, he could have still given his all with that same attitude and God will still reject. The main point here is not really about what Cain did or didn't do, the main thing is how this relates to us today. Instead of getting angry because God didn't grant you your heart desires but granted the one person you think is a "sinner" who has not even done half of what you have rendered to God, have you stopped to asked God what am I not getting right? Or are you just assuming that you are perfectly fine and you are right in everything? Or have you comforted yourself by saying it's not God's time yet? What if it is and your actions are not right to be accepted by Him?
Cain thought he was right by giving a sacrifice of his own sweat and yet God rejected and accepted Abel who was just feeding his animal with the very food that he(Cain) planted? Who does that? He was furious and didn't see that he was wrong. Don't be blinded by your sacrifices to God as we see in 1Sam 15:22. God is more interested in you and your obedience to Him than what you have to offer. When you are wrong, humble yourself and rule over sin instead of getting mad at God and others and letting sin devour you.
*MEDITATION:*
_Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous._
(1 John 3:12 NIV)
