*PRAYER BRINGS PROPHECY TO PASS*

_Key Bible Text:_
*And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.* (MATT 26: 39)

_Bible Insight:_
We underestimate the power of prayer. Do you know that prayer causes an alignment? Prayer has the capacity to draw prophecies from being mere prophecies to reality. No wonder many have defined prayer as ‘earthly permission for heavenly intervention’.

We look at the birth story of Jesus and we just assume it was a mere fulfillment of prophecy, we forget the people who devoted themselves to praying for the coming of our Lord Jesus, i.e. Simeon and Anna. All we see is just Jesus’ birth story aligning with prophecy, even when Satan stirred up Herod to kill all new borns, 2 years and below, the angel still intervened and Joseph fled Bethlehem to Egypt with his family. You don’t still see the input of Anna and Simeon? 

When you receive prophecies, there is still need to support it with prayers, not because God is trying to make you work hard for the prophecy, but because you have a contender in person of Satan, whom reaping where he didn’t sow is his job description. What prayer does is to cause Satan’s works to end at an alignment.

Satan thought he was destroying Jesus by leading him to the cross to be killed, but unknown to Satan, He was assisting Jesus in bringing to fulfillment a prophecy. Satan doesn’t see the future, if you will pray then you will worry less about his plans.

*WHILE YOU ANTICIPATE THE FULFILLMENT OF THAT PROPHECY, PLEASE PRAY*

But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life.
