*THE GREATEST WAY TO LOVE THE LORD*

_Key Bible Text:_
*“You shall therefore love the Lord your God, and always keep His charge, His statutes, His ordinances, and His commandments.* (Deuteronomy 11:1) 

_Bible Insight:_
We all proclaim to love the Lord our God on a daily basis. We show our love for God by our zeal towards church activities and dedication to church going, while those things are relevant, that is not all there is to loving God.

Moses told the Israelites “Show your love for Him by walking in His ways and holding tightly to Him.” Christ told us “If you love me you will keep my commandments”.
The life of Christ that we are to exhibit must not be ignored because that’s where our love for Christ is revealed. He says if they slap you turn to other cheek, which means avoid trouble or retaliation. This truly isn’t easy in our world today where everyone seems to be seeking trouble.

That’s why its love, that you stick with Jesus even when the chips are down. Love isn’t really known in the rosy moments. The fact that you stick true to your God in your sad and down moments is the greatest sign of love. That in the brick of provocation, the only thing holding you down from showing the person the stuff you are made of is just Jesus. This is love in its simplest but realest forms.

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
