THE PLACE OF FERVENCY.

*DAILY DEW 16TH/MARCH/2021*

*THE PLACE OF FERVENCY.*

_Key Bible Text:_
*And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.* (Luke 18:1-10)

_Bible Insight:_
Believers today have a lackadaisical attitude towards prayer. It’s accompanied by a misinformation that fervency lies in church activities. The truth is that fervency is built in the secret place and not in the commitment to activities although that accounts for service. Don’t misconstrue my words, service is good, but a man that serves in the house of the Lord without a secret place is setting himself up for destruction. He is like a man attending school consistently, yet is unregistered in the school. At the end of the day, his works will amount to nothing.

Dear Christians, men ought to pray and not to faint. A Christian who doesn’t pray isn’t prayerless, he is a ‘walking dead’ basically walking while fainted. We seem to always water down the importance of fervent prayers saying God can hear short prayers too. But we get it all wrong.

We don’t spend time in prayers to get God to answer all our requests, no, we don’t have that much troubles. We stay long to feed of God’s power; to receive consciousness of our identity in Christ; to become more like Christ; to grow intimacy by beholding his face for a period of time. That’s why we pray, to build our faith; to pray down God’s will upon the earth; to gain ascendancy spiritually.

There are a million more reasons why we spend time in prayer, answer to prayer is just one of them. WE HAVE A GREATER BURDEN NOW, TO PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, ALL THE TIME!

MEDITATION:
*“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”* Romans 12:12 (KJV)
