*WHAT DOES GOD DESIRE OF MAN?*

*Key Bible Text:_*
*O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!* (Deuteronomy 5:29 (KJV))

*_Bible Insight:_*
God has desires too. He has a deep longing in His heart concerning men. The same way men has desires they seek God's help to achieve. But what does God desire of men? 1. A heart that fears God. You can't please God until you fear and reverence him. You just can't. The fear of God is not only the beginning of wisdom but the beginning of a fruitful relationship with God. This fear, is the reverential appreciation of God, that makes the next thing God requires from men possible. 

2. A heart that always keeps God's commandment. This is where a heart that fears God is proven. The key word here is "always". This connotes habitually and consistently. It has to be like a default setting-- to obey God always. When a matter arises, and you are in dilemma about who to follow or what to do, is it a settled matter that you will, at all cost, choose to obey God? 

3. That it might be well with men who fear God and do his commandments always. This is the desire of God. God is personally rooting for your good success as long as you fear him, and obey him always. God is not content or satisfied until your all-round wellness -- emotional, financial, marital, educational, professional and etc -- is well established and recognized. 

When next you think about what you desire God should do for you, also remember these that God desires of you. When you go to church and begin to seek God's face also remember to ask him for help to meet His expectations of you.

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
