*FIRE FIGHTERS πŸ”₯🚿* (II)

_Key Bible Text:_
*"Rescue the perishing; don’t hesitate to step in and help. If you say, “Hey, that’s none of my business,” will that get you off the hook? Someone is watching you closely, you know— Someone not impressed with weak excuses."* (Proverbs 24:11-12 (Message))

_Bible Insight:_
Today's text presents an often ignored reality--God will not excuse those who fail in their responsibility to rescue the perishing. It is not enough to be saved. Our salvation imposes on us the obligation to bring others to salvation. Salvation from what? Salvation from the wrath of God.

Romans 5:9 (KJV) captures this aptly, *"Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."* So we are delivered from the wrath to come. Of course, that's not all. But that is the chief of it all. Redemption, guarantees several "follow come" packages such as healing, wealth, peace, wisdom, etc. The one we must never fail to be aware of is that redemption guarantees that we are free from eternal damnation and perdition in hell.

If we being truly and fully aware of this, still fail to draw other men out of this wrath of God by consistent preaching and living of the Gospel, God will not be impressed with weak excuses. The only reason we are not transported to heaven the moment we genuinely get saved, is not for us to make some cool cash and build some lovely houses, marry wives and give birth to children, and make a name! No! We are here to do the master's business. "Woe is me", said Paul, "if I preach not the Gospel". Do we deserve less, if we fail to preach the Gospel?

MEDITATION:
*For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.* (2 Corinthians 5:10-11 (KJV)
