*FIRE FIGHTERS 🔥🚿*

_Key Bible Text:_
*"Show mercy toward those who have doubts; save others by snatching them out of the fire; and to others show mercy mixed with fear, but hate their very clothes, stained by their sinful lusts"* (Jude 1:22-23 (GNB))

_Bible Insight:_
There is nothing that beats the joy and celebration that greets a team of fire fighters who have successfully put out what would have been a great fire and also rescued a young boy or girl who was trapped in the house on fire with no way of escape. Whenever such occurs, we see the media and the entire city talk about this for a great while and also a possible award or recognition for the officers or officer who had shown great courage and resilience in the face of naked danger. 

Like fire fighters, every believer have been called to fight the fires that seek to entrap the souls of unsaved men and women. The fire is certainly not visible or literally existent but figuratively and eventually the fires of hell awaits anyone who fails to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour. Indeed, there is a deep sense in which every sinner is an example of someone trapped in a house on fire. There is need of fire fighters who must come to the rescue or else so many souls will be lost. 

Dearest believer, know this today. You are a spiritual fire fighter. Hell is real and there is no escape for the sons of men without the saving power of the Gospel. The hoses and fire fighting trucks of the Gospel must be maximally utilized. Bravery, selflessness, eternity-focused living are some of the tools required. We must never relegate the fact of this fire to the background just because we want to preach God's love and forgiveness. Even Jesus was clear about this fire and he remains the chief fire fighter. 

Dearest believer, we are not called to put out the fire. This house on fire is going down. Nothing can stop it. However we must snatch out from this house on fire as many as would come to the faith through the preaching of the Gospel and the embrace of missions and missionary living.

*And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.* (Revelation 20:15 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
