*KEEP THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT*

_Key Bible Text:_
*With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.* (Ephesians 4:2-3 (KJV)) 

_Bible Insight:_
1. Meekness and lowliness: 
To achieve unity in a group, church, home, or even the nation, individuals must exercise these attributes-- lowliness, meekness, long-suffering, and forbearance. Interestingly, the dictionary still defines "lowliness" in the following words-- *"Lack of vanity or self-importance: humbleness, humility, meekness, modesty."* Meanwhile, meekness is defines as *"the fact or condition of being meek; submissiveness"*

These first two words were used by Jesus to describe himself. In Matthew 11:29 (KJV) Jesus said, *Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am MEEK and LOWLY in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.* This means that as true followers of Jesus, if we have truly learned the attributes of Christ, then we would exhibit both meekness and lowliness. 

In order to ensure unity, whether among believers, in a marriage, in a group,office or ministry, the individuals must possess these attributes of meekness and lowliness. Lowliness compels individuals to be humble and exhibit a lack of self importance or self exaltation. Indeed, meekness is the sister to lowliness. Meekness is submissive. Without lowliness, meekness is impossible. This quality allows one to be selfless. May we follow Christ in being meek & lowly in Jesus name. Amen.

*Be always humble, gentle, and patient. Show your love by being tolerant with one another.Do your best to preserve the unity which the Spirit gives by means of the peace that binds you together.*

*DAILY DEW 16TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *THE WAY OF THE CROSS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.* (1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *Through Christ’s death on the cross, those who turn to Him are delivered from both the penalty and the power of sin.* (1 Peter 2:24 New American Standard Bible) What are the benefits that accrue to us from following the cross, or carrying the cross to follow Jesus? In answering this, we need to understand that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross that gives the cross its power.  "1. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
