NUMBERS 32 LESSONS: BE FIRM & PERSUASIVE
*DAILY DEW 12TH/APRIL/2021*
*NUMBERS 32 LESSONS: BE FIRM & PERSUASIVE*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"After that, you may return, because you will have fulfilled your obligation to the LORD and to the other Israelites. Then the LORD will acknowledge that this land east of the Jordan is yours. But if you do not keep your promise, I warn you that you will be sinning against the LORD. Make no mistake about it; you will be punished for your sin."* (Numbers 32:22-23 (GNB))
*_Bible Insight:_*
Moses never got tired of warning the children of Reuben & Gad. He was firm and persuasive. Even when the Children of Gad & Reuben had disclosed that they would fight for their brethren and with their brethren, he still made sure he reminded them that if they fail to do so they would have sinned against God and they would not go scot free.
In the days we find ourselves, many grow a liking to being nice and friendly with sin and sinful ways. Many people do not like to worship in churches where sin is constantly being exposed and opposed. Preachers who like to speak against unrighteousness are constantly labelled and marginalized. Gatherings where sin is hardly spoken again, and righteousness rarely expounded and emphasized are usually frequented.
Unfortunately, God's standard has not changed one bit. Sin is still visited with death as its wages. Righteousness is still the way to be exalted and blessed by God. Salvation is still a requirement for all who must be saved. Without the Gospel and repentance the soul that sinneth shall die. In the midst of all the increase of iniquity it is important that we are firm and persuasive about the standards of God and the wages of sin. It is important we also do not shun gatherings or preachers who do not shy aware from preaching both the harsh and the lovely truth of the Gospel.
MEDITATION:
*"The time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrine, but will follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give their attention to legends."* (2Tim 4:3-4 (GBN))
