*THE DYNAMICS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS* (II)

_Key Bible Text:_
*"For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”*
(Romans 5:19 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_
Righteousness is not at the command of man. Inherent in man, is wickedness of heart. Thank God that is not the end. How did we even get here? Oh, yes. It was Adam. The first man. He disobeyed and that one act opened up the floodgates of sin and death. Thank God, we have a better ending. The last Adam, Jesus. 

Jesus came to the scene. As the offence of Adam was potent enough to unleash hell, Jesus's intervention was even more powerful enough to bring down heaven. *"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)"* Romans 5:17 (KJV)  

Jesus came with more. He came with the gift of righteousness and grace. Hallelujah. More than one could ask for. *"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life."* (Romans 5:18 (KJV))

This is how we became righteous. It was not a work we did. We couldn't work for it. Our labour could not have delivered this grace. Our efforts could not have fought it through. *For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.* (Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV))

Oh, It is a Happy New Month! May we relish the gift of righteousness! May we maximize its fullness. Amen.

*But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:* (Romans 3:21-22 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 16TH/SEPTEMBER/2021* *THE WAY OF THE CROSS* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.* (1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *Through Christ’s death on the cross, those who turn to Him are delivered from both the penalty and the power of sin.* (1 Peter 2:24 New American Standard Bible) What are the benefits that accrue to us from following the cross, or carrying the cross to follow Jesus? In answering this, we need to understand that it is the death and resurrection of Jesus on the cross that gives the cross its power.  "1. *DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
