THE ONE GOD USES

*THE ONE GOD USES*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"In a large house there are dishes and bowls of all kinds: some are made of silver and gold, others of wood and clay; some are for special occasions, others for ordinary use. Those who make themselves clean from all those evil things, will be used for special purposes, because they are dedicated and useful to their Master, ready to be used for every good deed."* (2 Timothy 2:20-21 (GNB))
*_Bible Insight:_*
I remember. That day we had poured some very hot water into a transparent glass cup. We were surprised when after a short while the cup broke. That water was too hot for the cup to handle. The cup was not made for handling such hot liquids. A vessel of dishonour cannot command the Lord's outpouring. A vessel of dishonour will not attracts the Lord's use of it. Unlike what happened to us with that transparent cup, God won't even try to pour what you can't or not supposed to handle. You either present yourself useful for his purposes, or He won't force you to or try to make you to.
In God's great house, it is not the quality of the vessel that matters. It is not whether you are a gold or wooden or plastic vessel that matters, it is whether you are a clean and useable vessel that matters. As a matter of fact, it is not good enough to be available. In a great house, so many vessels are available but only those vessels that are clean and useable that can attract the master's attention.
To covet the Lord's usage, you must be undergoing a cleansing. Your consecration will determine whether you are such a vessel that will gain God's attention and consumption. You don't need to worry that you are not a golden or silver ware, in God's great house, only those who are consecrated and dedicated that can attract Him. So even if you are a clay or a wooden ware, "those who make themselves clean from all those evil things, will be used for special purposes, because they are dedicated and useful to their Master, ready to be used for every good deed"
MEDITATION:
*"Everyone who has this hope in Christ keeps himself pure, just as Christ is pure."* ~ 1 John 3:3
