*REDISCOVERING THE MESSAGE* (VI)

*"Do your best to win full approval in God's sight, as a worker who is not ashamed of his work, one who correctly teaches the message of God's truth."* (2 Timothy 2:15 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
I remember one time I was trying to explain some scriptural matter to a younger man whom I felt was going extreme on an issue. He was also a minister, and he had been associating with some other believers who taught certain things which I reckoned needed to be balanced.

I mentioned something from Scripture, and he asked me, "Is that in the Bible?" I almost didn't believe he just asked that because I felt he should know. Alas, he didn't know. I told him yes, that was in the Bible, and I think I also mentioned the location. I hope he went back to confirm. 

Many people out there just depend on what they are told, they don't diligently go back to study the Word and to query issues of doctrine. We cannot be careless in this regard. We must earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. 

We thank God for teachers of the Word. I for one am blessed to be a teacher. But I usually encourage my audience to go back and study for themselves. Don't agree with what I say if it's not in the Word. Don't outsource your Bible study to someone else.

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
