*BE DILIGENT* (II)

_Key Bible Text:_
*That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.* (Hebrews 6:12 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_

We continue our reflection on the subject of diligence in the light of Hebrews 6:12. Let's take an Amplified version look at the text:

*In order that you may NOT GROW DISINTERESTED AND BECOME [SPIRITUAL] SLUGGARDS, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.*

So we are charged to NOT grow disinterested. It is another way of saying do not become lukewarm or unenthusiastic. We are also encouraged to NOT be sluggards. Laziness will always rob men of their destinies, possessions or inheritance. Laziness is a thief from within. Laziness is a deceiver. Laziness obtains your success and achievements by false pretence. Laziness promises comfort but steals from you the right and means to that comfort. 

Instead, we are charged to be imitators or followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. It takes Faith and patience to be diligent. The fuel of diligence is faith. The fire of diligence is patience. Without faith and patience, diligence will become tiring and uninspiring. 

Anytime you see laziness at work in a person, check and you will discover that there is neither faith nor patience anymore. Once faith and patience dies, diligence goes out too.

*DAILY DEW 24TH/DECEMBER/2021* *TRUSTING AGAINST ALL ODDS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him."* (Job 13:15 (KJV))  _Bible Insight:_ It's an uphill task trying to understand God's plan, especially when we can't make logical sense of what we see happening to and around us. But we aren't instructed to understand His plans, but to TRUST HIM and be secure in the knowledge that He's working everything to ultimately turn out for our good.  God won't mismanage your life. Trust Him with it and be willing and quick to obey His instructions even when they don't fit into your parameter of what's logical.
