PURE WATER*

*DAILY DEW 8TH/NOVEMBER/2021*

*PURE WATER*

_Key Bible Text:_
*And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.*
(Hebrews 10: 21-22 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_

When you know personally, the Governor of your State, you won't have any trouble going to pay him a visit especially when you have been invited. As a matter of fact, even if you don't know him personally, as long as you have been invited you would gladly honour the invite.

Our High Priest, Governor of the House and Kingdom of God, has issued an invite to you and I. He speaks on the authority of His position, as the Supreme and Superior one.

*"Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith"* is the first term of our invite. God won't push or force us to come. He simply gives us the nod to approach the throne of grace. This is the disposition we must approach him at all times. In all forms of our relationship with God, both generally and in prayer, we must come with a true(sincere) heart with complete trust and faith that God is for us and not against us.

The sincerity of our hearts however, will not suffice. We need to do one more thing- *"having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water"*

The human heart at its best form is still stained with corruption through lust. Our conscience is naturally evil outside of Christ. As free and genuine God's invite to us is, we mustn't approach him with or remain before His presence with an evil conscience. Our conscience must be sprinkled with pure water. What of our bodies? Our bodies must be washed! But what does these really mean?

_MEDITATION:_
*Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.* (Ephesians 5:25-27 (KJV))
