*THE POWER OF THE RENEWED MIND* (II)

_Key Bible Text:_
*And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.* (Ephesians 4:23-24 (KJV))

_Bible Insight:_

It is heart breaking to imagine that we are living in times when people when contemplating business, would rather not deal with persons who introduce themselves as "Pastors", "Church Members" or "Born Again Christians" 🥺

The urgent need of the hour is to return to deliberate and intentional mind renewal. The old man or old nature has been crucified with Christ but until you renew your mind, you will not live out the reality of the crucified life. The old man is dead or truly crucified to the extent that you engage in mind renewal. 

Mind renewal is a daily and deliberate exercise that calls for intentional and proactive steps. A passive or casual believer will remain under the sway of the old nature/man until there is a consistent practice of mind renewal. 

You should ask yourself, "How do I renew my mind"? This question is one you should take seriously and until you get the answer and start practicing them, you are not yet freed from the old nature. Living subject to the old nature, amount to living in the flesh. Living in the flesh, even as a believer, attracts a grave consequence-- disqualification from the Kingdom of God! 🥺

*"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.* (Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 19TH/JULY/2021* *What's Your Focus?*  _Key Bible Text:_ *For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who reckons, he says to you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost].* (Proverbs 23:7 (AMP))  _Bible Insight:_ I’ve learnt one thing in life so far: what you focus on somehow expands. Focus on your business, invest your thoughts and imaginations on how to grow it, talk about it with your spouse and friends; and gradually but surely, it will expand.  On the other hand, spend your time on every gist in town and watch the uselessness of your life expand. While we must remember or even celebrate this blessed season, we must never forget the spirit behind God's move and decision in sending His son Jesus. The answer to the why of Jesus' coming to earth is simply, LOVE. John 3:16 may have been abused but it cannot be overused or overemphasized. Jesus is God's decision born out of love.
